Professional Development

About Professional Development

From Site Visits to Dinner & Discussions, our Professional Development program consists of events that enhance our members' professionalism and prepare them for industry.

Our Professional Development events are connected to the BuildU tracks, which cover skills that are crucial for engineers in professional settings.

SWE members who attend one event from each of the 4 tracks below are awarded an extra SWE point at the end of the semester

If you have a question about any of these events, please reach out to development@swetamu.org.

Ioana Sandu

Howdy! My name is Ioana Sandu and I am a senior electrical engineering major from Houston, Texas. I started my SWE journey in the SWElites Professional Development committee in which I went on to become the counselor the following year. I then went on to serve as PD Co-Chair and Peer Mentorship Co-Chair, and I am lucky to be able to serve as the Professional Development Co-Chair again! In my free time, I like to spend time with family and friends, watch movies, and learn languages!
