Lockheed Martin Scholarships

As part of Lockheed Martin’s continued commitment to STEM education growth and creating opportunities for students who want to share their talents and change the world, we are pleased to announce that we will be launching the next round of Lockheed Martin STEM & Vocational scholarships. As an important partner and stakeholder in Lockheed Martin’s efforts to create opportunities for students as well as to prepare workers at every level for the competitive challenges of the modern global economy, we are looking to you for help in raising awareness for these scholarship programs.


  • Lockheed Martin has established the STEM Scholarship program to provide opportunities to students studying engineering or computer science that demonstrate need and come from underrepresented or underserved communities. In 2021, up to 200 renewable scholarships of $10,000 each are offered for full-time study at an accredited 4-year institution of the student’s choice. Application Deadline for the STEM Scholarship is April 1, 2021.

  • Lockheed Martin has established the Vocational Scholarship program to provide opportunities to students pursuing a degree or vocational-technical certificate at a vocational-technical school, trade school, two-year community college or state college. In 2021, up to 100 awards of $6,600 each are offered for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice. Application Deadline for the Vocational Scholarship is March 11, 2021.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance, and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals.

Valero Minority Engineering Summit

Good News! Valero Energy is awarding Scholarships, again!

We know that during this time in our nation that many of us have been met with unexpected challenges, so it gives Valero great pleasure to announce that we are awarding talented first-year students (freshmen) a $1,500 scholarship to assist in fulfilling their educational goals. The Valero scholarships target minority students pursuing undergraduate degrees in engineering; particularly, students with a passion for Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Pre-Engineering.


Students who are awarded the scholarship will attend Valero’s Minority Engineering Summit on May 18-21, 2021, in San Antonio, TX. This all-expenses-paid developmental opportunity will take place at Valero Headquarters, and consist of four (4) days of learning, exploration, networking, volunteerism, and a site visit to a Valero Refinery. However, if we are still under COVID guidelines, don’t fret, we are implementing a Plan B for a virtual event.

Cadence scholarship applications for the 2020-2021 academic year

In addition to our annual Cadence Women in Technology Scholarship, we are offering a Black Students in Technology Scholarship and a Latinx Students in Technology Scholarship for the first time!  As part of our mission to foster a culture of diversity and inclusion, we're offering a $5,000 scholarship to students in each of these groups currently studying in a technical field. 

Review the scholarship pages to see if you’re an eligible candidate. After reviewing the Application Requirements and Questionnaire sections, you can apply online. You can email the contacts listed on the page with any questions. Applications must be submitted by Thursday, November 5!
