RAMP Engineering Intern Program
Western Digital is still looking for juniors (graduating in Dec 2019 or Spring 2020) that are majoring in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering to fill some internships we have in Milpitas, CA and South San Jose, CA. There are some software developer openings as well as openings in firmware and hardware. Anyone interested is asked to apply online and can reach out to me directly to let me know that they’ve applied. I will then alert my recruiter colleagues that they have applied and that should get them an immediate phone screen. I started my SWE journey during my freshman year as a SWElite, and continued to be involved as I fell in love with the organization and its mission to empower women in engineering. Howdy! I'm Kayla Waswil and I am a senior majoring in Mechanical Engineering from Katy, Texas. My time in SWE began as a sophomore when I volunteered as a counselor for the High School Conference. At this event, I was so inspired by SWE's goals and people that knew I had to get more involved, so I went on become one of the High School Conference Co-Chairs during my junior year. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with friends, keeping up with my fitness goals, and exploring new places. Howdy! My name is Marissa Ovenshire, and I am a computer engineering major in the class of 2024 from Dallas, TX. I have served SWE as Freshman Representative, Socials Co-Chair, and Vice President of Administration. I am ecstatic to be continuing my involvement as the SWE-TAMU President this year! SWE has been incredibly important and formative for me and I hope to continue to foster that environment for others. I am very passionate about this organization and the wonderful people I have met through it. I joined SWE my freshman year as part of the SWElites Service Committee and am extremely excited to serve as this year's Workshop Lead in the ExCEL committee and a Big in the Big/Little Program. Howdy! My name is Ruthie Sloan and I’m one of SWE’s SWElites co-chairs for the upcoming school year. I’m an electrical engineering major, class of 2025, and love all things SWE! I have been involved in SWElites since my freshman year as a SWElite as well as a SWElites Service counselor my sophomore year. I have also been involved in SWE’s STEMfest, PR, and Socials Committee. Outside of SWE, I’m involved in AFC, a religious organization run by my church. I also love to travel with my family in our RV and experiment with makeup and fashion.
