Howdy! My name is Abby Rooney, and I am a senior Chemical Engineering and Spanish double major from Katy, Texas. This year, I am honored to serve as your President. I love SWE and am so excited to have another amazing year in this organization. In the past, I have served as VP of Finance, Professional Development Co-Chair, and SWE Representative. I also did SWElites my freshman year and am now a Big. In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching Netflix, and trying new things. A while back I got scuba certified and am a few hours from completing my Private Pilot License, so hopefully there will be a few new adventures in my future! I can't wait to get to know you all this semester and see what we can accomplish together.

Howdy! My name is Alexia Perez, and I am a Senior Computer Engineering major from Houston, TX. I first became involved in SWE by joining SWElites during my Freshmen year. I went on to become the SWElites Professional Development committee counselor during my Sophomore year and the Membership Chair during my Junior year. Howdy! My name is Inchara Nelogal and I am a Junior majoring in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Round Rock, TX. My SWE journey started during my Freshman year where I served as a member of SWElites and as the first ever Freshmen Representative Officer for our chapter. The journey continued last year where I had the absolute honor of serving as the Vice President of Finance. This year, I am ESTATIC to be serving as the Vice President of Corporate Affairs and can't wait to see what this year has in store for us! Howdy! My name is Gabriella “Gabby” Rocha, and I am a junior Industrial and Systems Engineering major from Houston, TX. My SWE journey began my freshman year as part of the SWElites Socials Committee and had the honor of serving as Socials Committee Co-Counselor my sophomore year. This year, I am overjoyed to be returning to SWElites once more as SWElites Co-Chair. Mahnoosh is a Ph.D. student in industrial engineering. She got her B.S. degree in petroleum engineering and Economics from Sharif University of Technology. Her research area is in health care, human factors and data science. Mahnoosh joined SWE when she started school at Texas A&M in 2016. She believes that SWE is a professional organization which helps women in engineering to improve their leadership and communication skills and build great networks. Manali is a Ph.D. student in Chemical Engineering. She received her M.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University and her bachelor’s degree from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani in India. Her current research involves the use of process systems engineering and optimization techniques to reduce the environmental footprint of energy generation systems. Attending the WE19 conference and meeting so many amazing women inspired Manali to join GradSWE at Texas A&M, and contribute to the organization’s efforts in promoting women’s involvement in engineering and technology. Outside of work, Manali enjoys reading, painting and movies.
