What is SWElites?
SWElites is a Freshmen Leadership Program within the Society of Women Engineers at Texas A&M University. We focus on developing leaders, giving back to our community and encouraging STEM education. This is an exciting program in its fourth year and we are looking for proactive and enthusiastic applicants who are ready to step into real leadership roles to help kick start your collegiate career at Texas A&M. If you are looking for an outlet where you can make an impact on the community around you as well as improve both leadership and professional skills, this is definitely the place for you.
Why join SWElites?
SWElites provides an encouraging and safe environment for female freshmen engineering students to gain leadership and professional skills. SWElites will help students become more marketable for internships, co-ops, and future leadership positions. SWElites provides a welcoming environment to meet and socialize with other freshmen engineering women to help students have a fun and enjoyable freshman year!
How to Join:
Apps open August 27th, 2017 and close September 17th, 2017.
Applications will include a few short answer questions inquiring why you want to join and what you can bring to the group.
Individual interviews will take place the week of September 17th and decisions will be released September 22nd.
