HSC 2017 was a great success!
Over the course of two days, 100 students got to tour campus, participate in two design challenges, and tour engineering labs in various disciplines.
Students participated in two design challenges that were part of our 'Finding Engineering' ocean theme. One of the challenges had the students, with limited materials, design a container that would hold as much glass marble 'fish' as possible. As a twist, they were then challenged with transporting the 'fish' across the ocean without sinking.
Students were able to explore different engineering majors through a college fair with most of the departments in the College of Engineering represented. Students could interact with
While they were on campus they learned about what that makes A&M special— photo opportunities with Lady Reveille followed a yell practice with the Yell Leaders. Forty of the students even had the opportunity to stay on campus with current students for an unique chance to experience A&M from a current student’s perspective.
Three scholarships were awarded to future Aggie Engineers, and fun was had by all!
